What SmartMarket is
SmartMarket, built by Smartara, connects customers, shops, independent riders and delivery companies. Ordering never requires an account. When you buy something or book a delivery, you pay the business or the rider directly, SmartMarket never holds or processes that payment.
What we collect
- Your name and phone number, given at checkout or when booking a delivery.
- Delivery and pickup addresses, and location coordinates if you share them for accuracy.
- Order and booking details: what you ordered, from which business, and its status.
- Account details, if you register as a customer, business, rider or delivery company: email, phone, and for riders and businesses, an identity document used only to verify who you are.
- Basic visit information, such as how many times a shop or rider listing was opened or a contact button tapped, stored as counts rather than as a record of who looked at what.
How we use it
To take your order to the right business, connect you with a rider, send WhatsApp updates about that order or delivery, let a business or rider dashboard show what belongs to them, and keep the marketplace working, ratings, follower counts, and featured listings included. We do not sell your information to anyone.
WhatsApp messages
Order confirmations, delivery updates and booking notices are sent through the WhatsApp Business Platform, operated by Meta. Meta processes the phone number and message content needed to deliver these messages, under its own privacy policy.
Who else sees it
We use Supabase to store data, Google Maps to show locations and calculate distances, and Google Analytics to understand how the site is used in aggregate. None of these providers receive more than what they need to do that one job.
Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. A signed in account can also be closed from your Account page. Reach us through the Support page for any of this.
